Monti di Croveggia
Around the cantonal capital of Ticino, Bellinzona, there are several casual small cable cars: including one from Camorino to the Monti di Croveggia in a little-known hiking area.
Suspension bridges in Goms
There are two impressive suspension bridges here, the wide and long "Goms Bridge" and the alpine "Aspi-Titter Suspension Bridge" at the back of the Fiescher Glacier valley.
Schynige Platte
For more than 120 years, the little red railway has climbed at a gradient of up to 25 per cent to the point with an alpine garden, a variety of hikes, a viewing terrace and a mountain hotel.
Selun crate railway
Exceptional cable car ride to Alp Voderselun. Afterwards we are on the lookout for cave bears and take a leisurely hike along the Toggenburger Höhenweg.
Oberblegisee
Pleasant hike from Braunwald to one of the most beautiful mountain lakes, with plenty of time for picnicking and swimming. Cable cars make the day even more enjoyable.
Romainmôtier
Waterfalls and babbling forest streams line the hiking trail between Romainmôtier and La Sarraz. It's worth taking a tour of both villages.
Vaudois Chablais
Vineyards and grapes are the pride of the Aigle and Yvorne region. The «Sentier des Vignes» leads through these vineyards, to the majestic castle and on to Ollon.
Lake Hike Zermatt
The fascinating 5-lake trail leads from Blauherd past five mountain lakes. Everyone is enchanted by the reflection of the Matterhorn and the many colourful alpine flowers around the lakes.
Hoher Kasten
Always along the short exposed ridge from Hohen Hasten to Stauberenkanzel and Fählensee. Display boards explain the geological processes of the formation of the Alps.
Barrhorn 3610m
Impressive views deep down into the Mattertal, directly to the Mischabel and the glacier world on the Bishorn. The Barrhorn is a rewarding destination for alpine hikers.
Denti della Vecchia
From behind in Val Colla, past the teeth of the Denti della Vecchia to the hills above Lugano. Views down to Lake Lugano, wide views of the Valais Alps.
Jochpass – Planplatten
Long, varied high-level hike from Engelberg to Hasliberg/Meiringen. Thanks to the mountain railways at the beginning and end, the tour is nevertheless extremely enjoyable.
Muottas Muragl
Most beautiful viewpoint over the Engadine lake landscape. with its unique play of light.The painter Giovanni Segantini loved this spot of the earth with the unique light conditions.
Piora / Ritom
Spectacular ride on the Ritom cable car, starting point for mountain hikes, but also leisurely walks and culinary highlights around the lovely mountain lakes.
Étang de la Gruère
Highlight in the Franches-Montagnes: the moor lake with a romantic forest path. On warm days the local youth (and connoisseurs) cool off in the mysteriously dark water while swimming.
Glacier3000
An extremely attractive, longer mountain hike from the Scex Rouge to the Quille du Diable and on to the Sanetsch reservoir. Also suitable for experienced families.
Greina
Streams neader their way through the Greina plain - there is nothing hectic and stressfull here. You can access the area at different points and there are various huts to spend the night making multi-day hikes possible.
Col de Susanfe
Stage 31 of the Alpine Pass Trail leads from the area of Les Marécottes to the back of the Val d'Illiez. The Col de Susanfe behind the Dents du Midi is a little-know treat.
Kandersteg - Adelboden
From the traditional wooden houses around Kandersteg, past the rock faces enlivened by chamois, over the Bunderchrinde to Adelboden in the Engstligental.
Chasseral
A small, charming stretch along the Jura high trail, from Les Prés-d'Orvin to the Hotel Chasseral - with a culinary detour to Jura farms.
Bernina
The hiking trail along the Unesco World Heritage route of the Rhaetian Railway runs close to the Albula and Bernina lines. Here is the hiking suggestion from Ospizio Bernina towards Poschiavo.
Stoos ridge walk
Sure-footed hikers love the well-built, spectacular ridge path from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock. Chair lifts run from Stoos up to the starting and finishing points.
Gemmenalphorn
The Niederhorn is best known for its inhabitants - including marmots, deer, and of course the ibexes. The hike to the Gemmenalphorn is brilliant!
Crans-Montana
On the Alp Er de Chermignon, the daringly constructed water channel towards Crans-Montana once began. The rock walls above and below the Bisse are steep.
Creux du Van
The impressive landscape of Val de Travers. Exactly 730 meters of ascent from down in the valley at Noiraigue, and you are standing in the upper tiers of the arena of superlatives.
San Bernardo
In the woods above the Magadino plain. Hidden in the chestnut woods above Monte Carasso on the edge of the Magadino plain, lies Curzútt (Corte di Sotto).
Central Switzerland
The hike begins at 1570m, at the Niederbauen station of the small cable car from Emmetten.
Albulabahn
Along the railway adventure trail Preda-Bergün. The narrow-gauge railway between Thusis and St. Moritz is a masterpiece of railway technology. It was opened in 1903 after only five years of construction.
