What could be nicer than getting on your bike and off on a sunny day?

We warmly recommend the almost 200 kilometres presented here. They extend in the area between the Greifensee region near Zurich and Lucerne and are suitable for every type of motorbike, i.e. every type of machine and every rider. Special challenges - such as very narrow, winding or steep passages - are deliberately left out here. We don't want to overdo it at the start of the season, but rather celebrate it much more and enjoy spending time riding our bikes again.

Cruising along four lakes and over vast plains, where even the smallest ray of sunshine has the greatest effect, we have the best conditions to become one with our bike again. Especially on the curvy sections, which are not missing at all. For example on the secondary roads in the Zurich Oberland, far from transit traffic, traffic lights and traffic jams. But also between Feusisberg (with an ingenious view over Lake Zurich) and Zug, on sections of Lake Zug in the direction of Arth and especially again in the Zurich Albis region.

Various sections also invite you to simply enjoy the wonderful landscape and the unique connection with nature on the motorbike. Not only along the water - there are also other areas in our tour area that have not yet been transformed into a pure, dense living and working space. If you want to make a stop - for example to eat something or drink a warm coffee - you'll find plenty of opportunities to do so (see left and our route above).

The route is available as a GPS download (www.toeff-magazin.ch) and, as always, is intended as an inspiration. Especially in the Knonauer Amt there are various possibilities to drive differently and take another "detour" without getting to a completely different area. For the processing of routes and tracks for the navigation we recommend www.motoplaner.de. Have fun with your season start!

GRILL AND STROLL
METTMENSTETTEN and ZUG - At the Steakhouse station in Mettmenstetten near Affoltern am Albis (www.steakhouse-bahnhof.ch) you can eat excellent meat freshly prepared over the fire. Barbecue courses for those who want to learn are also on the menu. From cheap to expensive, from rustic to elegant, you can also stop off in Zug's picturesque old town - including a stroll along the lake.

IDYLLIC HARBOUR
RAPPERSWIL-JONA - The tour also takes in the canton of St. Gallen. A visit to the idyllic Rapperswil harbour, as shown here when comparing the Indian Scout with the Harley-Davidson Sportster, is never wrong. From the ice cream café to the burger giant with the yellow "M", everything is very compact here.
