After the great success of the German edition of the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland travel guide in 2023, followed by the English edition in 2024, the French version of this popular title from Hallwag Kümmerly+Frey AG is now also available. Created in collaboration with Switzerland Tourism and the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland association, this book brings together the most attractive train routes across the country.
The Grand Train Tour of Switzerland covers 1,280 km, leading across the most scenic railway lines crisscrossing Switzerland and connecting the country's most beautiful panoramic trains and landmarks. This touring guide for the train journey stands out with countless travel tips and background information on each route. It is the perfect tool for planning an individual and comfortable trip — and an ideal companion along the way.
At the start of each stage, the guidebook presents a route map highlighting the numbered places described in the following pages, followed by a double-page spread with travel advice. Along the train route, sights and railway highlights are listed, accompanied by impressive photos. Each stage concludes with information about the destination and a selection of nearby excursion ideas.
The French touring guide is now available in all bookstores as well as online at swisstravelcenter.ch.

The travel guide was produced in collaboration with Switzerland Tourism and the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland Association and assembles the most attractive train routes in Switzerland.
The Grand Train Tour of Switzerland takes passengers all over Switzerland, on 1 280 km of the most attractive railway routes, connecting the country’s most beautiful panoramic journeys and tourist attractions. The Touring Guide Grand Train Tour of Switzerland published to accompany this great voyage provides countless travel tips and background information on each route. It is the perfect tool for planning an individual and comfortable journey to suit your own requirements and the ideal companion on the way.
At the beginning of each section, the guide provides a route map with the stations numbered in sequence, followed by a double page of travel tips. Along the train route, sights and railway features are listed, accompanied by stunning photographs. At the end of each section, there is information on the section’s destination as well as a handful of excursions into the surroundings.
