Lübeck - a popular destination for campers.

The medieval old town of Lübeck is considered one of the most beautiful in Germany. This is probably one of the reasons why the "City of the Seven Towers" was the first city in Northern Europe to be declared a World Heritage Site. Its landmark, the Holstentor, is world-famous. Further highlights of the old town are the historic salt storehouses, the town hall with its magnificent façade, the double-towered Marienkirche, the cathedral or the pretty town houses, of which the Buddenbrookhaus, which became famous through the writer Thomas Mann, stands out.

The best way to explore Lübeck is on foot. Numerous pieces of architectural jewelry are the stops on a stroll through the city. More than a dozen museums and a museum harbour are also worth a visit. Finally, many cafés and restaurants invite you to linger. A good opportunity to taste the famous Lübeck marzipan, for example at the Niederegger pastry shop's head office or in one of the marzipan storehouses.

If you are travelling by motorhome, you can park it on the P4 below the Marienbrücke bridge on the Trave, at the Hülsthorst sports park in the St. Gertrud district or at the Plaza Center in the Buntekuh district. After all, there is room for a total of 100 motorhomes at these locations alone.

But not only the old town is absolutely worth seeing, also in the northeast, about 20 kilometres away, the district Travemünde attracts a tourist highlight. The promenade along the Trave, which flows here into the Baltic Sea, exudes maritime flair. Bathing pleasures come true on the long sandy beach of the seaside resort. In Travemünde there is a large parking space for 49 mobile homes at the Kowitzberg car park.
